The appreciation of Beer is no laughing matter , until you’ve had a few, and at SanTan we take this very seriously. Head Brewer Anthony Canecchia took design elements from other beer glassware and with the help of Glass Guru Peter Sciacca, forged a shape with style to enhance the experience and appreciation of every pint of SanTan ale. Each glass is Hand Blown by workers employed by Sciacca and trained in the ancient art of Glass blowing. This in turn gives every glass its own identity while adhering to the overall design. The design of the glass is based on these principles:
1. Traditional pint glasses are straight walled and throw the beer to the back of your mouth. On the SanTan glass the lip is flared allowing the beer to spread out across your entire palate for optimal flavor evaluation.
2. The bell of the body captures the aroma, whether it’s the malty sweetness of our Oscuro or the citrusy hop fragrance of the Hopshock I.P.A.
3. The thin tight leg of the glass reduces the dissipation of the Carbon Dioxide and helps to keeps a thick white head on every pint.
4. The thicker wall of the entire glass keeps your Hand-Crafted SanTan pint chilled longer atop a proud strong base that keeps it from tipping anywhere but in your mouth.
